About Me

Just a guy who
fixes PCs.

When I was a kid, I downloaded a virus trying to get an animated cursor on the family laptop. My dad's punishment? "You broke it, you fix it." He probably had no idea where to start either, but that moment kicked off everything.

By 12, I was building PCs with friends and getting way too into Counter-Strike. Fully self-taught, completely obsessed. That obsession turned into a real career. I'm now an IT technician for a private company where if it connects to the internet, it's my problem. Slow laptops, full network stacks, monitoring, configuration, the whole deal.

I built PCVitals because I got tired of the gimmicks. Norton trying to scare you into a subscription. Bloated "cleaners" that make things worse. No transparency, no privacy, no one you can actually trust. I figured: I literally do this every day, so why not build something that's actually honest?

When I'm not fixing things, I'm gaming on my PC (1,000+ games collected and counting), hanging with my fiancée, our three dogs, and my cat Kit. Yeah, it's a full house.

Nothing, and I mean that. The scan runs in your browser, on your machine. I don't collect it, I don't store it, I don't sell it. Privacy isn't a feature I'm selling you. It's just how I built this. I'm not interested in your data. I'm interested in helping you fix your PC.

God no. That's literally why I built this: because those tools are the problem. They scare you with fake "critical issues," bundle garbage you didn't ask for, and harvest your data. PCVitals is the opposite. Lightweight, transparent, and built by someone who actually uses it on their own machines.
Right now, PCVitals is focused on Windows PCs, where most of the pain is and where my expertise runs deepest. Mac support might come down the road.

The short version: I don't want your data. PCVitals exists to help you fix your PC — not to harvest information, sell profiles, or track what you do.

Free browser scan

The browser-based scan runs entirely on your machine. The performance data it reads (CPU cores, memory, storage estimates) never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to any server. I don't see it, I don't store it, and I have no access to it.

PCVitals desktop app

The PCVitals desktop app runs locally on your computer. Diagnostic data stays on your machine. No telemetry is sent back to any server. No analytics. No tracking pixels. Nothing phones home.

Purchases

When you purchase a license, your email address is collected via Stripe's checkout and used solely to deliver your license key. It is retained for customer support purposes and is never sold or shared with third parties. Stripe handles payment processing and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Consultations

If you book a call, your name and email are collected via Cal.com for scheduling purposes. I don't record sessions without your explicit permission and don't retain notes after the session ends. Cal.com's privacy policy governs data collected through their platform.

Anonymous scan counter

When you complete a free browser scan, a single anonymous request is sent to increment a visit counter. This request contains no personal data, no IP address is stored, and no cookies are used. The counter is used only to display aggregate usage stats on this site.

Server logs

Standard web server access logs — including IP addresses — are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention. They are not used for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than site security.

Cookies

This website sets no analytics cookies and no advertising trackers. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party tracking of any kind. Stripe may set cookies on their hosted checkout page; that is outside our control and covered by their policy.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. California residents may request deletion of personal data under the CCPA. To exercise these rights, email hello@pc-vitals.com.

Terms of Service

The short version: Use PCVitals in good faith. Don't use it for anything malicious, and don't hold me liable for things outside my control.

Acceptance

By using any PCVitals product or service, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 13 years old to use PCVitals. You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase.

Free browser scan

The browser-based scan is provided free of charge, as-is. It offers general health insights about your PC but is not a substitute for professional IT diagnosis. Results are informational and should be treated as guidance, not guarantees of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

PCVitals desktop app

The PCVitals app is licensed software. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app on your own devices. Redistribution, reverse engineering, decompiling, or resale is not permitted. Software licenses are non-refundable once the license key has been delivered, as digital delivery is immediate and irrevocable.

Consultations

Consultations are advisory in nature. I'll give you honest, professional guidance, but I cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Any changes made to your system during or after a consultation are ultimately your responsibility — always back up your data first.

The $25 consultation booking fee is non-refundable once the session has begun. If you need to cancel, contact hello@pc-vitals.com at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule at no additional charge.

Limitation of liability

PCVitals is built with care, but software and technology are inherently unpredictable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PCVitals LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including data loss, hardware damage, or system instability — arising from the use of any PCVitals product or service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, not as part of a class action.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of any PCVitals product or service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
